Tortoiseshell has always been an expensive material because its beautifully mottled appearance appealed to people. The shell was very popular with the Victorians. They manufactured a wide variety of items such as fans, boxes, tea caddies, spectacles and photo frames.
We like to use our Tortoiseshell tissue box pairing with our matching Tortoiseshell photo frames and Jules drinks & serving tray. This tortoiseshell tissue box holds standard box size UK tissues and is easy to clean. The box comes with a magnetic hinged base which will hold the carton in the holder when moved around.
