The concept for our gorgeous Persian green jug came from the difficulty of finding a stylish jug that could fit 6 glasses of water or cordial. A jug is a vital part in laying a lunch or dinner table. One that fits 6 glasses is perfect as it’s not too heavy to lift or pass around. We also find two smaller jugs works better than one large one for those bigger dinner parties. Don’t forget, a jug like this is just begging for a bunch of daffodils or any seasonal flower!
Every piece is individually hand thrown by the British potter and craftsman Paul Mossman using traditional methods, so there will be quirky variances between each jug. Our colour Persian green follows our nature-inspired themes as it symbolises gardens, nature, heaven, and sanctity. Because we love Paul’s work, we have asked him to sign each piece. Other pieces in this truly authentic and artisan collection include our Persian green salad bowl and serving platter. We think these pieces work well with our Otis barley placemats too.
The raw clay for Persian green jug is fired at a temperature of 1,260 degrees. This makes the jug: oven, freezer, dishwasher, AGA cooker and microwave safe. All the glazes are also lead free.
