Travel Backgammon

A Travel Backgammon set by Henry Forwood brings the pleasure of a beautifully made board to holidays, weekends away and relaxed evenings at home. Compact proportions make each backgammon set easy to carry, while the folding case keeps the playing surface and accessories together between games.

Choose from Pink, Orange, Green or Blue faux shagreen exteriors. Henry developed this highly realistic finish to capture the distinctive texture of shagreen without using natural stingray skin. Discover our complete shagreen collection for more accessories in this signature material.

Inside, contrasting Mappa Burl, Walnut and Rosewood veneers create richly patterned playing fields. Carefully inlaid points stand out against the surrounding wood, making the board clear to follow during play. The natural grain gives each interior its own character.

Every set includes brass and leather playing pieces, dice and handcrafted wooden dice shakers. Antiqued brass fittings complement the textured exterior. Hidden magnets help hold the case closed during transport, preserving its clean outline without an exposed catch.

Henry specialises in high quality home accessories and believes that it is the detail in a design that really counts. Each handmade board reflects this approach through its materials, proportions and thoughtful construction.

A portable backgammon set makes a memorable present for players who enjoy taking their favourite game wherever they go. Explore our curated wedding gifts by Forwood Design for more thoughtful ideas for special celebrations, anniversaries and new homes.
