In the 1990s, Henry started to work with resin as an alternative material to wood. Through this work and over a number of years, he developed the skills of mould making. Combined with a knowledge of chemistry, he was able to produce a pliable sheet of resin shagreen that was so realistic that it was difficult to distinguish from the real thing.
