Our contemporary campaign dining table is ideal for a small apartment. The shagreen table doubles up as a comfortable dining table for four people or a stylish coffee table. The top is made of our designer faux shagreen in charcoal grey and the ‘bamboo’ steel legs are finished in antiqued silver metal leaf. Henry Forwood invented the process to make this unique faux shagreen because he loves the luxurious texture of stingray.
The Campaign Dining Table is very easy to lower or raise. When not in use it is simple to store the table as the table top separates from the legs.
Lowered to its coffee table height at 46 cm high it is perfect in front of a standard sofa. With a surface area of 1.2 m x 76 cm there is plenty of room for magazines or a display tray as well as TV remote or drinks.
There is nothing new about folding campaign furniture. The Romans used it and was in use until the First World War when we stopped traveling with our furniture. We like to combine the campaign table with our Deco style Chandler drinks tray.
How should one clean the shagreen campaign dining table coffee table?
It’s so easy, simply wipe down the table with a damp cloth as soon as practical after a spill and buff with a dry one.
